FALL
Fall always feels like a reset, doesn’t it? The air gets crisp, the coffee tastes a little better, and suddenly we’re all ready to pull out a fresh notebook and sharpen a few pencils. Around here, that means new projects, bold ideas, and a few extra sweaters in the studio.
At Marion Design Co., we love this season for the energy it brings—a chance to look back at what we’ve created and gear up for what’s next. The leaves are changing, our sketchbooks are filling, and the ideas are flowing.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to, and what’s coming this fall.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
HYPERION PROMOTIONS
The Hyperion Players brings an eclectic range of stories to the stage, from theater classics to original pieces from local playwrights. When creating promotional materials for their season of shows, one of the unique challenges is to capture the personality and individuality of each show while maintaining the consistent brand presence of professionalism and excellence that defines Hyperion. Instead of creating traditional trailers, we wanted to interview the cast and crew behind these shows. These are dedicated and passionate storytellers, and we wanted them to share in their own words what makes these shows special.
This process not only generated consistent, engaging promotional content, but also established a storytelling framework that celebrated Hyperion’s creative journey — helping audiences see that the story begins long before opening night and continues long after the final bow.

SLŌ | 09.05.25
SLŌ: KOREA
Our latest Slō Supper was a celebration filled with curiosity, conversation, and connection. As we gathered around the table to share a Korean meal, we were reminded again that Slō is more than a dining experience; it is a moment of belonging. Watching guests try new tastes, laugh together, and ask thoughtful questions reminded us that culture is not something we simply observe—it’s something we share.
From a group embracing the event for a bachelorette party to friends and strangers braving tastes they had never experienced together, the evening affirmed why we began Slō in the first place: to slow down, honor stories, and celebrate the people and places that shape who we are.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and look forward to the next Slō Supper as we continue celebrating culture, community, and connection at the table.

THIS IS BRAND: BEYOND THE LOGO WORKSHOP
In September, the Marion Design Co. team joined Greater Grant County members for their Marketing Meet Up: This Is Brand - Beyond the Logo.
This workshop covered the basics of Brand Identity, like Vision, Mission, Values, Voice & Tone, Look & Feel, and Positioning. We also dug deep into Brand Experience best practices to ask: “Are you delivering on your brand promise?” We were able to offer brand audits to all the attendees of the workshop, showing that design thinking, strategy, and process can all work together to serve your objectives as a brand.
KAC GALLERY | 09.19.2025
MAC GALA: PURPLE HAZE
Just as it was last year, the second annual MAC Gala was a special night of art, elegance, appreciation, and generosity. Decked out in hues of purple, guests, artists, community leaders, and everyone in between filled the gallery. Attendees bid on art in both silent and live auction, entered into a live painting raffle, enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres from the Tomahawk, and socialized well into the evening.
Marion Design Co. donated our time and services to making the gala a success, and along with Kennedy Art Center and the Marion Arts Commission (as well as all of the other sponsors!) the time put in certainly showed. The Marion Arts Commission raised over $20,000 to go towards supporting the arts in Grant County. We’re excited to continue this tradition, not only to offer an elevated and lively night of fun to the community, but also to continue supporting the arts!

MDC STORE | 09.25.2025
MDC STORE AT THE CHIC MERCANTILE MARKET
This month, our team had a great time bringing Marion Design Co. to the Chic Mercantile Market. The lovely fall day was filled with inspiration and conversation as we shared our curated, designed products with new faces and familiar friends. We were even surprised to see former Marion Design Co. interns in town!
Events like Chic Mercantile remind us how much we enjoy connecting directly with our community—talking about our process, hearing stories from shoppers, and seeing which pieces spark joy or curiosity. From games to journals and purses to jewelry, every item we sell is designed with purpose and a bit of personality.
