WHAT TO KEEP - WHAT TO THROW AWAY
There’s a small stack of Slō menus sitting in our production room.
Leftover from a November dinner. Beautifully printed. Each one still tied with a ribbon. The plan was to untie them, save what we could, reuse the rest. Practical. Thoughtful. Easy.
And yet—they’re still there. Not forgotten. Just waiting.
We’ve been thinking about that pause a lot lately. It feels like a question many businesses are quietly asking as we head into 2026: What still serves us—and what’s simply taking up space?
Good design isn’t always about making something new. Sometimes it’s about deciding what’s worth keeping, what needs a refresh, and what can be released with gratitude.
The stories that follow—an insurance website, a handmade Christmas card, a store becoming a gifting service, and the third annual Ma. Art Exhibit—all live inside that tension. Each one is a small act of editing, refining, and making room for what’s next.
Untie the ribbon.
Keep what matters.
Let the rest go.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to, and what lies ahead.

CHRISTMAS AT MARION DESIGN CO.
In the hectic rush of wrapping up all of the 2025 deadlines, it was important for us to take a step back from our work and have some quality time with each other. Before everyone headed home to spend time with their families for the holiday break, we decided to host an in-house Christmas party for the whole team.
Each of us were able to talk all about our Christmas traditions, family dynamics, and got to know each other a little bit better. It is such a blessing to share lively and intentional conversations with a passionate team of artists and creative thinkers - and we hope that you were able to do the same!
This bespoke Christmas greeting card was created in house by our very own Misty Fox, a limited edition print series carefully crafted by hand nods to both the Marion Design Co. brand and some of our key partners that give back to our community.

MA. SHOW OPENING
Thank you for making the opening of Ma., our latest gallery show here at the Kennedy Art Center, such a success!
Tashema Davis, local artist and middle school art teacher, has been taking nominations for local women of color within the community who deserved recognition for all that they do, and Ma. has been her avenue for doing so: painting portraits of women who were nominated by their community to be honored and valued. This marks the third Ma. show, and with it are thirteen new women from around Grant County whose impact is to be celebrated.

GIFTING FOR GOOD
At Marion Design Co., we’re creating intentional gifting systems that help organizations strengthen relationships with their clients, partners, and stakeholders—without adding work to already-full plates.
This past Christmas, we tested the idea with an architectural firm in Texas during one of their busiest seasons. They needed to send 40 gifts at once, so we stepped in. We listened to what they hoped recipients would feel, collected names and addresses, curated the gifts with intention, packaged everything using the firm’s brand, and mailed them directly to recipients.
For the firm, it was simple. For their clients, it was thoughtful. And for everyone involved, it lifted the burden of coordinating one more complex task.
While this began as a holiday project, the service is designed for any moment that requires thoughtful gifting at scale—client appreciations, milestones, openings, anniversaries, or thank-yous where quantity and care both matter.
Our goal is to take on the heavy lifting of meaningful, multi-recipient gifting, so you can focus on serving your people with intention—while we handle the rest.
Curious what thoughtful gifting at scale could look like for your business? Book a call to learn more.

TEAM RETREAT
Gathering in person at the start of this year was so energizing. We were able to look back at our experiences from 2025 and celebrate big wins for the team, to consider our present moment and key improvements we can make, and to feed forward into the future together.
