Our Process

Thriving Families was based out of a small building in Gas City, but were seeking to expand their reach and audience.

  • Thanks to a generous Third Path grant from the Community Foundation of Grant County, they were able to move into a much larger, inviting space—a former church once belonging to the Grant County Rescue Mission Ministry, lovingly handed over to support the organization’s next chapter. They reached out to Marion Design Co. for guidance regarding their name, visual assets, and services.

“Thriving Families” did not encompass the whole of the ministry, and required a change in name to align with its mission. A new building is a big change that the organization flourished in, and the brand needed to reflect that. Lastly, the organization needed a strong identity that stretched beyond merely the logo, encompassing their mission, vision, values, and purpose.

  • Marion Design Co. met with Thriving Families over the course of three weeks, during which we conducted design thinking sessions to determine a new name and sub brands that would convey their service to the community through a heart of generosity. The organization’s new home offered a defining moment—a chance to unify yet distinguish their growing initiatives. We also refined their color palette to better reflect their evolving story.

With their refreshed identity in place, we helped design the GatherGive Center’s brand in Gas City—a welcoming space uniting resources from across Grant County that were previously out of reach for Mill Township residents. While hosting committed organizations serving the community, the GatherGive identity needed to feel distinct, yet harmoniously part of the broader family of services.

Because of the gentle, caring approach at the heart of the GatherGive Center, we developed a visual identity that feels soft, inviting, and full of hope. Their identity and mission is to provide for the community, laying the foundation for a brighter future, and working together through interconnectivity. A blue monochromatic palette was the answer to a soft and welcoming portrayal. We created a pair of inviting and welcoming hands as their primary mark to display their openness to the community.

  • The newly named Thriving Mill Township now shines with a refreshed brand identity that highlights its flourishing, community-rooted work across Grant County. Meanwhile, GatherGive has blossomed into a beautifully branded initiative—its warm, inviting presence expanding local partnerships and deepening its capacity to serve others.
